Dr. Albert W. Wily Dr. Wily was once legendary for his skill in the field of robotics, second only to his close friend Dr. Light. However, Wily's research into a new technology called the Double Gear system failed to receive funding due to the needed grant instead going to Light's work on robotic free will, driving a wedge between the two that led eventually to Wily stealing Light's new Robot Masters to try to take over the world. Like his former friend, Wily is a firm believer in a robotic future, but he favors the use of strength and force to give robots a place in society, and doesn't particularly care that he's seen as "evil" because of it. They'll see he was right in the end. They'll ALL see. |

SWN-001 Bass Manufacturer: Dr. Wily This jerk. Initially presenting himself as a "hero robot" in order to gain Dr. Light's trust, Bass was created by Dr. Wily for the specific purpose of defeating Mega Man via the strategy of "fighting fire with fire," essentially creating his own version of Mega Man. His goal of becoming the strongest robot has led him to go rogue on a regular basis, and at this point he's more successful as a hero robot than most legitimate examples, even teaming up with Mega Man on occasion. |
